More good work by the Highlanders

Following on from the good work done by the 5th Platoon B Company, of the Royal Regiment of Scotland, at the Toc H site on 5th May, the 6th Platoon took over on 15th May & 16th May and continued where the others had left off. The work has not been easy, as there was a lot of stagnating rubbish together with the rubble which had accumulated over the years and dust masks had to be worn. Nevertheless both the 5th and 6th Platoon undertook the task at hand in their stride with great efficiency.

The Toc H site has been allocated to The Gibraltar Clubhouse Project, charity no 213 in order to establish an ICCD* accredited Clubhouse in Gibraltar in support of those suffering the effects of Mental Illness.

The Directors and members of the Gibraltar Clubhouse Project held a Paella event at the Gibraltar Defence Police Social Club in Rooke on the evening of Wednesday 16th May. Both Platoon’s were presented with Framed Certificates of Appreciation for the hard work they had put in.

The event was sponsored by Living Waters Church Fellowship. The Clubhouse Members want to publicly show their appreciation to all the Highlanders that took part and to Major David Seed and the MOD for helping to facilitate much needed renovation work on the site.
