The Chief Minister visited the Permanent Joint Headquarters (PJHQ) MOD in Northwood UK yesterday. On arrival he was met by Air Chief Marshal Sir Stuart Peach who is the Commander of the headquarters and also a very good friend of Gibraltar. Also present at the visit was Commander British Forces Gibraltar, Commodore Tom Karsten. It is the first time that any Chief Minister of Gibraltar has visited this headquarters and Sir Stuart Peach “was very happy to host the visit.”

The Chief Minister was shown the different departments and areas of the HQ and also had a meeting with Sir Stuart to discuss areas of common interest between the MOD and HM Government of Gibraltar. The Chief Minister was delighted with the visit and said it showed the commitment and good relations the Government shares with the MOD and HM Forces in general.
